When will the movie be made?

The film will enter pre-production once we reach our goal. We anticipate beginning principle shooting in the fall of 2016 and to edit the movie once shooting wraps in early 2017. Last updated: Tue, May 17 2016 3:50 pm EDT

When will the film be released?

We’re hoping to release the film in the first quarter of 2018. It might seem like a long ways off, but filmmaking can be a long process, and we want to make sure we can make the best film possible with your help. We don’t want this to suck, we want this to be great! Last updated: Tue, May 17 2016 3:50 pm EDT

Who will be in the movie?

During these early stages of development, our team has been in contact with actors that we’d be thrilled to cast as Lullaby’s lead characters. We won’t have anyone locked in for sure until we’re certain we’ve got the funding to accommodate the actors we’re looking to cast. The more funding we receive, the better the chances are to cast more recognizable actors that would bring these characters to life. Last updated: Tue, May 17 2016 3:50 pm EDT

When will I receive my rewards?

It all depends on the rewards. We don’t know how many backers we are going to have for each reward, so a lot of it depends on just how many back each reward. As soon as the project is funded we will begin the process of creating the rewards such as coffee mugs, art prints and t-shirts and begin to ship those as soon as possible. For other rewards, the movie must be filmed and released before the rewards can even be developed and created. Rewards such as the film’s official poster, digital downloads and physical copies of the movie will be released following the film’s theatrical debut. Other rewards, such as the PDF of the movie’s script and Chuck’s annotated scripts, will be release the day the film hits theaters nationally. Last updated: Tue, May 17 2016 3:50 pm EDT

How do the advanced screenings and Q&As work?

Advanced screenings with director Q&As will be held in the weeks prior to the film’s theatrical release. Those events have not been scheduled quite yet, but they will be scheduled far in advance so we can make sure you’ll be able to attend. As of right now, advanced screenings will only take place in the cities listed in the goals. However we’re not opposed to adding more screenings in your city if there’s a sizable amount of interest! Let us know! Last updated: Tue, May 17 2016 3:50 pm EDT

How will my set visit work?

The set visits will take place during filming in late 2016, early 2017. The movie will be shot in Oregon. We will coordinate with you as to the exact date of the set visit once we’re sure on our shooting schedule. Transportation and accommodations are not provided. If I’m an extra in the film, will I for sure make the final edit of the film?

While you’ll be on camera for the shooting of the scene you’re an extra in, we can’t guarantee that you’ll make the final cut of the film once it hits the editing room. We’ll certainly try to make sure to cast you in a scene that will be most likely to make the final cut. If for some reason you’re edited out of the final cut, we’ll try to coordinate with you to get you a copy of the deleted scene. Last updated: Tue, May 17 2016 3:50 pm EDT

What is a Virtual Producer?

The Virtual Producer reward is a first of it’s kind on Kickstarter. If you donate $40 to become a Virtual Producer you will be inducted into a voting pool that will actively make decisions throughout the pre-production and production phase of the movie. You will help us to choose things like costumes, extras casting, and dialogue. You will receive more information on the Virtual Producer once the Lullaby Kickstarter campaign has closed. What’s the timeline for the film’s release?

Principal photography for Lullaby will begin in or around October of 2016. We plan to shoot between October of 2016 and January of 2017 in Oregon. Post production will continue into and through the spring and summer of 2017 giving us plenty of time to edit and add visual F/X. Following post production we’ll tour the film to festivals both nationally and internationally. Then, Lullaby will premiere theatrically in the United States sometime around September of 2018. Why are we charging a shipping cost?

We struggled a lot with the dilemma of whether or not to charge for shipping. Of course we’d love to ship everything to you for free, but financially it just isn’t feasible. Ultimately, we felt more secure insuring each order and protecting the quality of your items. And that’s what you’ll get with the additional shipping cost. Your rewards will ship domestically, within the United States by USPS Priority Mail, with a tracking code, as well as come with basic insurance, guaranteeing that they will arrive safe and undamaged. For international shipping, the costs are slightly more for obvious reasons. We shopped around to make sure that the shipping cost you pay will be the cheapest possible. The reason shipping costs are as such, is due the waves in which the rewards ship. The t-shirt, frameable art print, and beanie can all be shipped together, but the DVD/Blu-Ray and the official Lullaby movie poster both require their own respective shipping due to creation and release of the movie. The shipping costs are not reflected in the price of the donations/rewards. Last updated: Tue, May 17 2016 3:50 pm EDT

Are the backer only screenings for one or two people?

The backers only screenings with director Q&A are for one person. Each donation is one seat. If you’d like an addition seat, you’re welcome to add a plus one as an additional donation and we’ll make sure they are accounted for. Please contact us for additional information. Will the DVD/Blu-Ray play in my country?

You bet! Even though we’re still a ways out when it comes to producing DVDs or Blu-Rays, we’re going to make sure that no matter where you live, it will play in your location. Last updated: Fri, Jun 10 2016 8:01 pm EDT

What if I want a different name in the credits or on my library check-out card?

If you pledged over $30, you will receive your name in the credits. When the campaign is completed, you will be sent a survey. In that survey, you will be able to denote just how you’d like the name in the credits or on the library check-out card to appear. Last updated: Fri, Jun 10 2016 8:01 pm EDT

There’s posters offered in the $75 and the $80 rewards, what’s the difference?

Yes, there are official Lullaby posters in both the $75 and $80 rewards. The difference is that the posters in the $75 reward are folded when they ship, whereas the $80 reward posters ship in a tube. Last updated: Sun, Jun 12 2016 1:09 pm EDT

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
